Project “PETAL – Passport to Environmental Training and Learning”

In the project EUROPARC Germany works together with five European project partners on developing nature conservation related learning material and assessment tools based on the European Qualification Framework. Inter alia the method “Assessment of Competencies Gained during Volunteer Work” (Deutsches Jugendinstitut/DJI) was adapted to volunteer work in German protected areas. The project (Oct. 2008 - Sept. 2010) is lead by British Trust for Conservation Volunteers (BTVC) and financed by the EU-Lifelong Learning Programm/Leonardo.
